Must Be Santa...

So Christmas Morning Sophie woke up about 7:30 Merry Christmas to Mommy and Daddy since she usually only sleeps until 6:30.  We got her up and headed downstairs along with Mamaw and Papaw.

She was thrilled to see that Santa had come and had eaten the cookies and drank the milk we had left for him.  She was also very excited to see her doctor kit which she had asked Santa for and had been talking about the whole holiday season.  She also got these really cool dolls made by Fisher Price that have snap on clothes, hats and shoes and a few other things.

She took her time opening each gift and playing with it in between.  I think she still had a few stocking stuffers from Santa to open even the day after Christmas just because she was so busy playing with everything.

I had made some quiches and some monkey bread which is family tradition for breakfast.  After breakfast my parents stuck around until 1230-1 and they headed home.  We put Sophie down for a nap and rushed around to get the house cleaned up for the next set of visitors....Daddy's family.

They got to our house about 2:30 and Sophie was still asleep.  About 3 we started to open up the next round of gifts.   Sophie was excited for her Ice Cream sundae set, peek a boo bear, recordable book Grammy and Poppy got her, along with the little step stool that has puzzle pieces to spell out her name that Aunt Becky and Uncle Eric got her.  She also got a book and a little laptop from her cousins Austin and Aaron.   Sophie and Aaron played together and Uncle Bob hooked Austin up to play some of his old sega games, the adults visited while I got the next big meal ready and by 5 we were sitting down to turkey, potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, rolls.

After the day was through we sat down about 8 and watched the movie Prancer with Grammy and Poppy after Sophie had gone to bed and by 10 we were all in bed.

Thanks Santa!
