Sure hard to believe our little girl is four short months of being two. Where does time go really? Seems like just yesterday we were wishing that she would walk and talk. Now she is running and chitter chattering non-stop.
This age however is a lot of fun. With every month she is learning a few new things, and continuously growing taller and looking all toddler now.
She has recently given up her binkie which is a huge accomplishment since that was her prize possession. We have gotten her a little potty of her own just to test the waters. She has a great time sitting on it and playing with it currently but she has not gone on it yet. I'm not pushing it yet, just letting her have a good time with it to become familiar..she will do it when she is ready.
At the park and in the backyard she has been doing more climbing and sliding all by herself which makes a mother worry a bit more, but we do not want her to be afraid of it.
Also recently she has been playing in the pool at the sitters with the other kids and just having a blast..everyday when I asked her what she did she says "pool mommy"
She loves it when Daddy and I jog and take her along in the stroller she is great a cheering us on by saying go, run, go run. She is also starting to run and kick the ball really well in the backyard.
She loves finger painting, play dough, coloring, and stickers. Loves reading books, helping Daddy make the bed, helping Mommy fold laundry, and playing in homemade tents we set up for her.
We have had a few more play dates with Teagan and she loves having a little friend to play with.
We are eating a few more foods in addition to last month.
She's loving carrots, and apples with peanut butter, and snapped peas. Spaghetti has been a little more interesting to her as well.
We are saying prayers with her at night now, and she is saying Amen when we are all done. She now also likes to be covered up with a blanket.
She is also able to count up to 5. Her favorite color is yellow, and she loves Curious George.
We have learned what timeout is. She's starting to sing parts of songs along with CD's and us..
Her new phrases are...me do, uh-oh, mommy/daddy please, thank you(when it is supposed to be used), whimming (swimming), hey, and uh-huh.
We are teaching her the letters in her name.. she recognizes the I and E so far.

Father's Day Weekend
Over Father's Day weekend we spent time in Daddy's hometown. Where he grew up has a really awesome park with rides that all three kids and even the adults enjoy. So went spent a couple hours there riding rides and then we went to the playground area. All three kids had a blast.

Weekend Getaway
Over this past weekend my parents volunteered to watch Sophie so we could get away overnight to celebrate our fifth anniversary. So Saturday morning we headed out to get a couples massage which was very relaxing, then we had lunch and some Jeni's ice cream it was so yummy.
Then we just shopped around a little bit. Around 5 o clock we headed out to dinner at The Elevator and had a yummy pasta dish, and a Beery's root beer float....
how awesome is that...not too often you see my maiden name anywhere.
Then off to the Kenny Chesney concert... Uncle Kracker and Billy Currington opened for him...all three put on a good show and the weather was just perfect to spend with the love of my life.
After the concert we headed to the hotel and hung out at the bar having a drink and a snack for another hour before going to bed. We slept in until 9:30 and then got up and got ready and headed for home.
Sophie had a blast and behaved for Grandma and Grandpa playing outside and finger painting and playing with playdough inside. Thanks again for giving us time together just the two of us and taking care of our precious Sophie.

Happy Father's Day Daddy
Dear Daddy,
Every morning when I wake up I love snuggling in bed with you. I love helping you make the bed by handing you all of the pillows. Then we go downstairs and you give me bebest (breakfast). Later on in the day when you come home from work I am so happy to see you so I run to the door to give you a hug and kiss. Then I take your hand to show you what I've been doing that day. After dinner we play together...you take me to the park, we blow bubbles together and draw with chalk. You give me horsey rides and we play kitchen. I love it when you read me books and let me snuggle in with you after you give me my bath right before I go to bed. As you and Mommy tuck me in at night I think to myself I sure am a lucky girl to have a daddy as great as you.
Love Sophie xoxo
It's Grandma's Birthday...
I know you are another year older, but that's no reason to be a party pooper...instead spend the day on the potty singing the wheels on the bus with Mommy and me ;) Please excuse Mommy's singing. Happy Birthday Mamaw hope you enjoy the video and I want you to know that I enjoy reading this book with you!!

More Adventures at COSI
Last weekend we headed down to COSI Saturday afternoon for a few hours. Sophie had a wonderful time.
We built with these ginormous blocks....

Along with many other activities. A few hours well spent and she had so much fun and learned a lot too. Afterwards we went to the Spaghetti Warehouse where we sat on the trolly.

Playin Playdough
Yesterday since it was so darn hot outside. I decided that Sophie and I were going to play with playdough when she woke up from her nap. No joke she had so much fun that we spent nearly two hours and before I knew it Daddy was home and dinner was not ready yet. I think her favorite part was making Ice Cream cones.
