Christmas Eve Mamaw and Papaw joined us about 3:00. Just about then Sophie was waking up for her nap while we were helping them bring in everything from the car.
She played a little with them and then we decided to try and open a few gifts before going the Christmas Eve service at our church at 5:00.
At first she was a bit skeptical about opening gifts but once we got started she had a blast opening her own and helping open everyone else's.
My parents got her the tickle monster book and gloves, a bowling set, some jammies which she absolutely loves to wear, some other clothes, a ladybug night light that makes the stars and the moon on her ceiling in her room at night, CD's which she has enjoyed singing to and a few other books.
Uncle Michael and Aunt Lisa got her a veggie tales CD which has seemed to be quite the hit and some Duplo Lego blocks which we have played with for hours upon end.
So we did not get everything opened before church so when we got home while we waited on dinner to finish up cooking we opened the rest.
By 6:45 we were eating the roast, green beans, potatoes, and bread. She only ate a few green beans and some chicken nuggets. Then by 8 we were getting her into her jammies and putting out cookies and milk for Santa.
She was so tired she did not even put up a fight.
