Until Sophie turns two...unbelievable. I look at my little girl and where has time gone. Last week I found myself a little sad when I looked at her and realized that she is not a baby anymore, she's a toddler.
She's a little lady that can walk, talk, run, jump, and is a little drama queen sometimes. What happened to that little baby girl we brought home from the hospital that weighed a little less than seven pounds. She is now about 25 pounds and is tall enough to reach the edge of the counter, strong enough to kick a soccer ball, and can talk up a storm.
This too is a really fun/funny age...
She is talking so much more fluently in sentences and I am able to make out a lot more of what she is saying and asking. Her newest words and phrases include...Sorry, Yeah, Not =No, Honey=Funny, ome on =Come On, Sit here. She's been saying Grammy and Poppy and Mamaw and Papaw and Aaron for months now. Recently she has added Michael and Lisa, Becky and Eric and Austin to the mix.
She now is folding her hands and bowing her head when we pray at the dinner table and before bed. In addition to repeating some of the words. It is so cute we have a hard time not laughing at her.
Eating habits..
Her eating habits remain about the same, she is trying a few new things. Some have been successful and some have not.
Potty Training...
For about a month we were doing really well with potty training. She was going pretty consistently without a doubt. Now things have slowed up a bit, we are still getting her to sit there but she is not going quite as often, so we've reverted a bit, but with time and patience I'm sure she will be back at it again in no time.
The good thing is she still is a huge snuggly kid...
She climbs into her toy box and cuddles with her stuffed animals, loves to snuggle in bed in between Mommy and Daddy on weekends and in the mornings before we get ready for work.
She loves covering us both us with blankets which usually covers our heads and then she kisses us through the blankets.
With the good comes a little ornariness...
Yes she is not as perfect as we might make her sound like she is. She has had her fair share of temper tantrums and testing Mommy and Daddy's patience the last month. We are learning what timeout is and what it means that Mommy and Daddy are the boss. All very much a learning process for everyone, but life is still good :)
