22 Months

22 Months have flown by and here we are.

Sophie is at a really fun age at the moment where she is starting to repeat full phrases like "oh boy, "whoa baby,"  "ome on,"  "Ok," "Right Back"

She now is also using please and thank you in all the right places.  She is such a polite little girl- most of the time.

This past month she flew on an airplane for the first time and did wonderful.

We have been to our community pool a few times and she loves the slide in the kiddy pool, as well as putting her face in the water.

We've also been to the zoo about 5 times this summer and she enjoys see the animals, mostly the ones that swim and move close to the glass. 

Potty Training is starting... and going really well.

Eating habits remain good so we are adding a few things in a little at a time to peak her interest in trying new things.

Recently we have gone down to one 1.5 -2 hour nap a day in the afternoon and bed time at 8 pm every night seems to be doing the trick.   Our bedtime routine has changed a little more where she loves being read to right before we say prayers and put her down for bed.



She loves taking bath in her own bathroom now and is still swimming in the bathtub.  I think we'll get her swim lessons for sure this winter.


Right now she loves playing pretend with her little people dollhouse and farm.   At least once a day if not more she requests to play playdough and is learning her colors while doing so.  She is now counting pretty consistently from 1-5.  We also love to hear her little voice singing along with us to her favorite songs.  Going outside is so much fun for her she continues to draw with chalk, but is now telling me what she is drawing which always seems to be a tiger...funny she just draws the stripes but they are always orange.  She loves to help me with the laundry, she hangs the hangers on the dresser pulls, and has started putting on the clean clothes....yes she's figured out how to put my underwear on...another hint she's ready to be potty trained...and for some reason she is a fan of the orange pairs.



Still a Huge fan of Clifford and Curious George.



We've also developed a love for popsicles...orange are her favorite just like Daddy.  Strawberry is a close second.  

We are looking forward to what the next month holds as she continues to learn and grow.
