Happy 3rd Birthday

Three years ago today, Sophie, you rocked your Daddy's and my world.  We had no idea what unconditional love felt like until we held you and knew we had just become a Mommy and a Daddy.  You are so kind and tender-hearted with others.  You are a wonderful daughter to me and Daddy. You are sweet and affectionate.  You love to draw. You love princesses.  You love to do puzzles.  I can't wait to see where this world takes you and what you do with it.

This past year you have learned so much, how to use the potty, sleep in a big girl bed, count from 1-10, recognize your colors and shapes and some of the letters. Sing the words to many songs. You've learned how to swing on a regular swing, ride a tricycle, kick your soccer ball to us, put your face and head in the water at the pool, elaborate in full sentences your thoughts, ideas, and opinions. You've learned to glue and we are still working on cutting, painting is one of your favorite things to do. You can drink out of a regular cup with a straw, eat with silverware and hit your mouth without making a huge mess. You've made several friends, went to Bible School, Sunday School, and stayed over night with grandparents by yourself.  Your drawings are starting to look like objects (pumpkins), we've survived our first injury that required immediate medical attention.  You are learning the days of the week and what happens on what days, such as going to Suzanne's, church, library, grandparents, zoo ect. You love to do puzzles, color, play with play dough, love on your babies, cook us meals in your kitchen, sing songs, watch movies, run outside, play in your sandbox, and have play dates with your friends.  Your vocabulary has increased ten fold this year and it is so fun to listen to what you have to say...even is from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep.

I pray that you are always a great friend, that you are always the sweet girl, that you are always honest, that you are always generous and kind, that you are always creative, that you always do the right thing, and you grow into a beautiful little lady, who is independent, smart, well respected by your peers and loving to those around you.
We all love you and are proud of you!  Looking forward to another year of adventures with you.
