Over Memorial Day weekend we headed way North to see my brother and sister-in-law in Minnesota. So Thursday morning we boarded the plane not knowing what to expect from Sophie, but she did great. She looked out the window, watched her dvd player, we did stickers and colored and all was peachy keen until the turbulence started on our second leg of the trip. It did not bother Sophie a bit but Mommy and Daddy felt a little queasy.
We landed in Grand Forks ND shortly after noon their time and were greeted by Aunt Lisa. Sophie played shy for a short time and then she warmed right up to her.
We spent two hours driving to their house after the flight and taking in the sites of all the trees in straight rows across the fields.
Once we got to their house Scarlet and Gray went crazy. They were so excited to see us and to see that they have a playmate for the week. They smothered Sophie in kisses and wags. She loved it.
Sophie was excited to have her own room and some fun stuffed animals that were Uncle Michael and Aunt Lisa's when they were little.
About three hours later Uncle Michael came home from work and Sophie played shy again but then warmed up pretty quickly.
We spent the evening relaxing and had a nice dinner of pork chops, mac n cheese and green beans.
