Our Outtings

While we were in Roseau we took in all the sites both there and in Warroad where Aunt Lisa's parents grew up and where Aunt Lisa lived for a year in between Uncle Michael and her being done with college and going to Seminary.

Friday:
We went to Aunt Lisa's Church

Took at Tour of the Civic Center and spent some time at the library where Sophie played on the computer and drew on a dry erase board.  We also checked out some books and a couple of dvd's.

We played outside blowing bubbles for Scarlet, Gray, and Sophie to chase.

Then we took a tour at Polaris while Sophie went to the Dairy Queen with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Michael

We ate at the Brickhouse Restaurant for dinner.

Saturday:
We went to Warroad and up to the Lake in the Woods - we saw where Lisa's parents grew up, where her grandparents used to live, and the house where she lived with her grandparents just a few years ago.  We also played on the beach and at the park at the Lake in the Woods and had a nice lunch at the restaurant right there.

Later we went to the park at the school with Uncle Michael and over to see his church.

Then we went to the Legend for Pizza.

Sunday:  We went to Aunt Lisa's church and Sophie went up for her children's sermon.  We went to Annie's log cabin and picked up some Minnesota souvenirs.

Later that evening we went to the drive-in for dinner.

Monday:  We went to the Memorial Day parade and assembly in the High School gym.

Later on in the afternoon we went to Deer Camp "where the men and their sons stay during the deer hunting season"  We road Rangers clear up to the Canadian boarder which is still on their land and then we roasted marshmallows for s'mores (note:  they add peanut butter to theirs...such a great idea).

That evening we had fresh Walleye caught by Uncle Michael himself this past winter...it was super yummy.   Sophie also had one last evening of some play time with Uncle Michael.

Tuesday we headed back to the airport to fly home.   We had a great time!  Way up North.
