You are the Apple of our Eye

On Saturday we decided to spend our sweetest day by picking some sweet apples at Lynd's Apple Orchard.  It was overall a nice sunny fall day...a tad bit windy to say the least.  It took us about 45 minutes to drive there. We went to look at pumpkins first and check out the market area

After we were done with that part of it in order to pick apples we had to get back in the car and drive to the picking part of the Orchard... of course as usual Sophie decided to fall asleep right as we pulled into the drive.  So we decided to sit in the car with the window down and listen to the leaves blowing on the trees and the silence which you rarely hear close to civilization and let her finish her nap.

Fourty-five minutes later Sophie had awakened from her slumber and was ready to pick apples.  So we headed out to the orchard.

We filled a 10 pound bag with approx. 25 apples...and the one which Sophie pulled off the tree and we let her eat.

It was fun, and she enjoyed her apple, and there are many more where that one came from.

Here Daddy have a bite!

And Another...

Here is Sophie enjoying her second apple while sitting on the crates..

I think we will make this a Herbert family Fall tradition along with Leeds Farm.
