Ringing in the New Year Beery Style

So after our get together at Julie's we headed to my parents house to welcome Aunt Lisa, Uncle Michael and Scarlet and Gray to Ohio, and to celebrate Christmas and the New Year all at the same time.

New Years Eve Night we opened up our presents from each other and the stocking stuffers Santa left for all of us...

Sophie got a polar bear, a Mickey Mouse towel and a book from Aunt Lisa and Uncle Michael

Gray was very interested in helping Sophie unwrap her gift

and she got a new beach hat for this summer and for our trip this spring from Grandma and Grandpa...she thought it looked better on Uncle Michael...I personally think pink is his color.

Sophie enjoyed her time with Scarlett and Gray.. they gave her kisses...sat below her chair when she ate her meals, and kept a close eye on her.  Gray is more of a mommy..anytime Sophie would cry she would check to see if she was okay...she watched me change her diapers and put her down for naps and bed.  Scarlett was more interested in her toys...sniffing them out to see if they were good material to play with..never once did I see either dog chewing on anything of hers.  Both of these dogs are snugglers..

After Sophie went to bed we all sat around.......Gray snuggled in with me...

Note we all eventually got up and played games and ate snacks and we all made it to see the ball drop at Midnight.

The next day Scarlet found her way to Bob's lap and stayed there for quite awhile..

While Sophie and Grandpa played in (mommy's old room) now Sophie's room with her (mommy's old little chair)
